Career Connections

Created in 2011, Career Connections was designed as a forum to bring educators and industry representatives together for an open discussion of relevant issues. Furthermore, this forum was created so that today’s secondary students would have access to up-to-date industry information to make better informed career and post-secondary educational decisions.

Although the focus of Career Connections has been on the local needs of the Pacific Northwest manufacturing industry, this model can be easily transferred to any region and any industry. Meeting once or twice a year, high school career specialist and advisors had direct contact with manufacturing industry thought-leaders, education innovators and non-profit resources.
